Ablaze.

Week 3 - Ablaze 

 I took these photos at our church's youth camp – Everfresh Ablaze – that happened this past weekend. I was only able to go to the camp for two of the days; however, I was blessed to see these two amazing images.

On the left is the view from the camp site, and on the right is over 100 teenagers and young adults worshipping God with all that they are – being set ablaze by the love and light of God!

I am convinced that nothing can EVER separate us from God's love.

These photos show me the power of God, but a power whose source is LOVE.

Are we CONVINCED that nothing can separate us from the love of God??

Because if we are convinced, why would we ever let anything stop us?

The Bible says that God is Love. It also says that we are created in God's image. So if He is love, well, then we must be love, too. Or at least we were created to be love.

If all of us are so different from one another in so many different ways, then think about how huge God is.

Look at this picture and think how huge God's love is.

Nothing can separate YOU from that!

I encourage you to read Romans 8:31-39 in the Bible. You will be inspired.

Let's love.

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love.” - 1 John 4:16

Inspired. Impacted. Ablaze.

So Let it Grow.

Week 2.

 

"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing." James 1:2-4

When we look at this, can see this as simple shade on the beach while we're trying to tan and get on with our own thing or
We can choose to see this from God's point of view. We can see it as what it is - an amazing, beautiful shadow of a palm tree on the sand of the beach.
We can choose to see our troubles from God's point of view. We can choose to see that God is saying I am huge. I am amazing. I am beautiful. And I am on your side!!

Stir up your faith as you see this tree, as you see the troubles that come in your life.

God sees the faith, endurance and joy inside of you - so let it grow!!

Faith. Joy. Endurance.

Friendship

Week 1 - my first photo for the year!

The one on the left is my sister, Claire, and the one on the right is my friend, Abi.

I remember learning this verse when I was probably about 6 years old. When Abi and I decided to each do our 52 photos for the year, this was the first verse that I thought of. 

To have friends we must be friends. All of us, or at least most of us, would love to have a friend that sticks by us like a brother - or a sister. No matter what. A friendship in which it doesn't matter if the one moves to another country or if an arguement occurs because of miscommunication - which is generally the cause of arguements.

A friend that pushes you beyond your comfort zone, or maybe just laughs with you while pushing you on a swing.

We all want this kind of friend...so my first challenge - let's be that kind of friend!
